Between the Czech border and Poysdorf the wine quarter gets hillier. On nearly every slope you can see grape-vines grow and the villages lie in small dales.

One of them is called Herrnbaumgarten and is well-known since centuries for its wine culture. Even the Russian tsar was supplied with wine from Herrnbaumgarten.

Directions:

From Vienna on the B7 (this route goes to Brno) north to Poysdorf. In Poysdorf turn right after the traffic light and then turn right again, follow the street until you see a left turn. After this left turn turn right and you are now on the street between Poysdorf and Herrnbaumgarten, where you will arive after 5 km. Head straight ahead and the third house to the left of the church is the vineyard Bohrn.
